Gospic Croatia enjoyed the sweet taste of victory for the first time this season in the EuroLeague Women on Tuesday night.
Mauritia Reid scored 25 points and Marija Vrsaljko poured in 24 as Gospic destroyed Lotos Gdynia, 98-83.
The result has left both sides with one win and seven defeats in Group B.
Though both sides are not mathematically eliminated from the play-off contention, it would take a minor miracle for either team to progress with Rivas Ecopolis two wins clear and in fourth place.
Only the top four sides will progress to the post-season.
Victory was richly deserved for the home side.
They blew the game wide open with a run that began late in the first quarter and ended in the second.
Leading 20-16, Michelle Maslowski made the second of two free-throws and Ivana Jurcevic followed with a three-ball.
Gospic went on to score 14 unanswered points and Lotos never recovered.
By half-time, the lead was 63-40 and with 11:10 left in the game, the advantage had ballooned to 83-57.
The rest of the contest was an exercise in damage limitation for Lotos, who got 15 points from Latvia international Elina Babkina.
