Every team needs an anchor and Engin plays that role to the fullest. As Turkey’s only ‘real’ center, Engin’s main duty is patrolling the paint. Whenever opponents want to exploit Turkey’s weakness inside, Engin is there to counter them. She is a solid defender both in one-on-one and help situations. A good rebounder and the main offensive rebounding threat on the team, she cherishes that role and exploits it to the fullest. Even though she was only recently naturalised she is an integral part of the team and very happy with her role. She uses her defensive duties as a motivation.
