It's been an incredible year for veteran shooter Goran Ikonic who helped to fire Krka Novo Mestro to an incredible EuroChallenge success by producing a blistering 26 point Semi-Final performance against BC Telenet Oostende before the team subsequently clinched the trophy against Lokomotiv Kuban. His performances with the Slovenian side last season has earned him a move to the Turkish League for the forthcoming 2011-12 campaign with Pinar Karsiyaka. Ikonic is an experienced guard who seems to have got even better with age and he can provide the offensive firepower the National Team need if they are to progress at EuroBasket 2011. He didn't play last summer but showed his importance a couple of years ago when he averaged double digits in the failed Qualifying Round for EuroBasket 2009.
