EWE Baskets Oldenburg delivered a first-quarter knockout jab in their EuroChallenge Qualifying Round 2 opener with Borac Nektar on Tuesday. The hosts thrilled their German fans by outscoring Borac Nektar 23-8 in the opening 10 minutes and used that terrific start as a launchpad for a 76-46 triumph. Ewe Baskets had a 42-18 stranglehold on the game with 2:22 to go in the first half and they cruised the rest of the way. Jasmin Perkovic and Rickey Paulding Jr each had 15 points to lead a balanced Ewe Baskets attack. Perkovic was three of four from three-point range for Predrag Krunic's team. The second leg will be played on November 11 in Bosnia and Herzegovina. |
