Dynamo Moscow Region left it late but eventually secured their place in the EuroCup quarter-finals on Tuesday courtesy of a 76-73 away win over Maroussi Athens.
The Russian side's victory, coupled with the 79-57 home defeat inflicted on ASK Riga by SC Azovmash Mariupol, helped Dynamo clinch second spot in Group J with a 4-2 record compared to Riga's 3-3.
Maroussi appeared to be on course to register their first win of the campaign, having led the contest from the outset until 78 seconds from the final buzzer.
Roderick Blakney's three-pointer put the visitors ahead for the first time at 72-70 with a little over a minute remaining, with Giedrius Gustas' two-point jump shot and two free-throws from Andrey Komarovskiy sealing matters.
The Greek outfit must have thought the hard work had been done with 19 points from Ermin Jazvin and Konstantinos Charalampidis' 17-point haul having given them the upper hand.
They stormed into a 19-15 lead by the end of the first quarter and took the second 26-20 to hold a commanding 45-35 advantage at the midway point.
But it was not to be as Dynamo fought back to make sure of their place in the last eight in dramatic circumstances, hitting back to take the fourth quarter 22-13.
