ASK Riga trailed by 11 points late in the first half but fought back impressively to stun Dynamo Moscow Region 68-63 in Round II Group J of the EuroCup.

Curtis Millage had 23 points to pace Riga, who improved to 2-2 in the pool while Dynamo slipped to 2-2.

Andrey Komarovskiy had given Dynamo a 34-23 lead with 1:04 to go in the second quarter but the visitors from Russia weren't able to press home their advantage.

Instead, a three-pointer from Ugis Vilums and a jump shot by Millage closed the gap to 34-28 at the break, and they continued their comeback in the third quarter.

Millage buried a three, and then scored a lay-up to make it 40-39 in favour of Riga with 6:16 remaining in the third period.

Neither side was able to get a grip on the game and it wasn't until 6:50 remained in the contest that a decisive sequence occurred.

Igor Zamansky fouled Sandis Valters while the Latvian international was attempting a shot from behind the arc.

Valters calmly went to the line and made all three free throws to tie the contest at 56-56.

Baskets by Sandis Buskevics, Raitis Grafs and then Valters put the home side into a 62-56 lead with 4:17 to go.

The Russians weren't done yet.

Dynamo Moscow Region, after Sergey Demeshkin's jumper, only trailed 62-59 and when Millage was called for travelling, the visitors called timeout to discuss their strategy.

Millage made immediate amends for his mistake when play resumed, however, stealing the ball away from Nikolai Padius and Buskevics scored a lay-up to take the lead back to five.

Nikita Morgunov's lay-up with 1:23 to go made it 64-61, but Millage again went to the other end and made a jumper to take his points haul to 21 and ASK Riga held on for an impressive win.

Roderick Blakney had 16 points to pace Dynamo.
