Nestoras Kommatos

Career: Olimpia Larisas (Greece-A2,1995-2000), Makedonikos (Greece-HEBA A1, 2000-2001), PAOK Thessalonikis (Greece-HEBA A1, 2001-2003), Aris Thessalonikis (Greece-HEBA A1, 2003-2004), Maccabi Tel Aviv (Israel, 2004-2005)

“Kommatos” in Greek slang means “chic” and for sure, although he is not a woman, Nestoras is a nice part of Greek basketball. He was born in Greece from an African mother and a Greek father and learned the secrets of basketball in Larissa. His athletic skills made him very quickly famous. He played for the junior national teams of Greece and last year took the first call to be a… man. Pretty passionate player, likes the trash talking in the game, and to provoke his opponents, in a good way of course. Last season was a key player for Maccabi Tel Aviv at the Moscow Euroleague Final Four scoring 13 points in the final against TAU. Good shooter but with no international experience with the men’s team.
