Azovmash put themselves back in the frame to qualify from EuroCup Group C after a 72-68 defeat of Lokomotiv Rostov on Tuesday evening.
The hosts, who improved their record to 3-2 with the win, were led by American guard Khalid El-Amin, who poured in 27 points and pulled down four rebounds.
Azovmash led from start to finish against a Rostov side who are also in with an excellent chance of qualification.
The Russian side were never in this contest though.
Azovmash scored the first five points of the contest and established a 27-17 advantage at the end of the first quarter.
That lead was extended to 50-31 by half-time as the Ukrainian hosts continued to dominate at both ends of the court.
Rostov improved in the final two quarters, winning them both by a combined score of 22-37, but it was not enough.
El-Amin was supported by team-mates Robert Gulyas (13 points and eight rebounds) and Slaven Rimac (12 points).
Rostov got 21 points from Omar Shariff Sneed but he lacked support.
