Lokomotiv Rostov secured their second win on the bounce in Round II of EuroCup after ending the unbeaten record of Group K leaders Turk Telekom with an 83-72 triumph.

The Russian outfit's lead was rarely threatened after they opened up a commanding 28-14 first-quarter advantage thanks in part to 12 rapid points from American guard Omar Sneed.

Turkish center Asim Pars made sure the advantage remained at 14 points heading into the interval as he drained one of two from the charity stripe to bring the score to 51-37.

Turk Telekom attempted to raise their game in the third and rallied briefly, but after Haluk Yildirim's three-pointer reduced the deficit to nine points they began to fade again as Rostov found an extra gear.

Sneed's jump shot with 6:21 remaining in the final quarter saw Rostov's lead reach a game-high 16 points, and from there the hosts eased off the gas to allow their Turkish opponents to close to within 11 at the buzzer.

Sneed finished with a game-high 18-point haul and led Rostov with eight rebounds, while Kresimir Loncar looked lively with 14 points and six rebounds.

Rostov also made an impressive nine of 20 (45%) from three-point range.

In all, five Rostov players found the target with long-range shots.  

Yildirim led Turk Telekom with 15 points and six assists.

The result snaps Turk Telekom's seven-game unbeaten run in the EuroCup and allows Rostov to pull level at the top of Group K with a 2-1 record.
