Lokomotiv Rostov secured their first win in Round II of EuroCup Group K after coming from behind to claim a 74-64 victory at winless Spirou Charleroi on Tuesday.

The Russian outfit were never behind in the first quarter of the clash at the Spiroudome and Ilya Aleksandrov's three-pointer ensured a 23-19 advantage heading into the second period.

But the hosts rallied before the mid-way point, with a 22-6 surge capped by Amit Tamir's effort from beyond the arc ensuring the Belgian side a 38-29 lead with 3:05 left in the half.

That advantage was whittled to seven points as the half-time buzzer sounded, and in the second half of the contest the visitors set about reducing the deficit.

That target was achieved less than four minutes into the third as guard Sergey Toporov powered home a dunk to edge the Russians back into the lead at 46-45.

Ralph Nehimiah Biggs' two-pointer ensured the two sides were tied at 58-58 heading into the final period, but Charleroi's challenge ended there as Lokomotiv powered ahead in the closing moments, outscoring their hosts 16-6 to seal the win.

The winners were led by Kresimir Loncar, who registered 22 points and 10 rebounds, while Toporov contributed 14 and Maurice Bailey 10.

Tamir poured in 19 points for 0-2 Charleroi, who managed just six of 23 from three-point range for a completion rate of 26%.

Lokomotiv are now 1-1.
