Marco Mordente is a reliable combo guard who is bidding to grab a place at what would be his third EuroBasket tournament having played in the 2005 and 2007 editions as well as at the FIBA World Chamoionship in 2006. He is often used coming off the bench as a valuable back-up and is happy with the ball in his hands and creating but more often than not trying to find space to shoot the ball. He has enjoyed another strong season in Milan and that was recognised when he was invited to participate in the Italian League All Star Game earlier this year. Mordente is solid defensively and has seen it all before with 15 years as a professional and could be a valuable member of the roster both on and off the court for Coach Piangiani.
