Yuliya Rytsikava - EuroBasket Women 2015 Profile

Rytsikava has been sidelined from basketball for two years after suffering a serious injury in 2012 during the qualification games for EuroBasket Women 2013. She has faced a tough process of rehabilitation to get her spine back into shape. During this period, she was banned from all sporting activities, so decided to concentrate on her personal life. In 2013 she started a family and it seemed that nothing could tempt her to return to the game. But the deepest feelings for the national team plus the lure of the Olympics have got her back on a winning track. She needed only half of a competitive season to become the true leader of BC Horizont both in the Belarusian championship and in EuroCup Women. An uncompromising defender and universal attacking wing player, she has a lot to offer and her return promises a potential winning boost as well as widening the rotation on the flanks.
