Sandra Linkeviciene - EuroBasket Women 2015 Profile

The modern legend of the national team has witnessed fame with Lithuania stretching all the way back and almost into the previous century, playing alongside greats such as Jurgita Streimikyte, who is now an assistant to Coach Sernius. Linkeviciene spread herself selflessly in order to drive her nation's women's team into the basketball elite. The versatile guard has been working relentlessly for a decade to complete the mission. Eurobasket 2015 will likely be her final curtsy since after both maternity leave and some serious injuries, it will be hard for the long-serving shooter and team leader to continue her odyssey. She will do her best to lead her young team-mates in her ultimate crusade by driving to the hoop and demonstrating how much of a good finisher she is, as well as setting the plays with an array of excellent passes. The quality of her all-around skill-set is exceptional - including her defence. So you can bet that she can be the statistical leader of the team in most categories at the tournament as she prepares for a fifth Final Round, having missed out on France two years ago.
