Italian side Carichieti are looking to this week’s EuroLeague Women match-up with Euroleasing-Orsi Sopron with confidence, despite a domestic set back this weekend.
Chieti suffered a 49-85 defeat against Schio in the Italian Lega Basket Femminile, but despite the nature of the loss, morale in the team seems to be holding up.
“Even if in the Italian Championshipo the results are not good enough, the mood inside the group is good,” said coach Claudio Agresti
“The match with Sopron will be hard but it is an opportunity for us to improve.”
Both sides have 1-1 records in the EuroLeague Women.
Chieti center Marina Rejchova is doubtful for the game due to an ankle injury. She missed last week’s game against MBK Ruzomberok, although the club is hoping she will be fit in time for tip-off on Wednesday.
