FMP Win Shoot-Out With VEF Riga

BC FMP routed VEF Riga in a high-scoring EuroChallenge clash in Serbia on Tuesday evening.

Filip Covic and Milos Dimic each had 19 points for the Belgrade team in the 109-89 victory.

FMP won for the fifth time in six games but finished second in Group F behind Banvit (5-1) on a goal-differential tie-breaker.

Gregory Renfroe finished with 17 points, seven rebounds and five assists for the Latvian club.

FMP did much of their damage inside the arc, making 28 of 46 shots compared to just 16 of 37 for VEF.

The visitors, meanwhile, put up 37 shots from long range and made 12 while FMP were a far more efficient nine of 15.

The Riga club trailed 78-73 at the end of the third quarter but were outscored 31-16 in the final frame.
