Balanced Attack Keeps Belgrade Perfect

15 December 2009

Five players scored in double figures as BC FMP Belgrade kept up their perfect record in Group F of the EuroChallenge with a 90-77 win over Okapi Aalstar.

Bojan Radetic made a perfect six of six from three-point range to lead the way with 21 points, while Andreja Milutinovic added 18, Miroslav Raduljica had 14, Nemanja Protic 13 and Mladen Jeremic 11.

However, Belgrade did not have it all their own way, and spotted Okapi a 13-point lead as they got off to a terrible start.

It took them almost until half-time to get back on level terms, with Raduljica's tip-in putting them ahead for the first time, 38-37.

The sides traded the lead before going into the locker rooms tied at 43.

Things stayed tight for most of the third quarter, but when Raduljica's driving lay-up with 2:39 to go in the period split at 60-60 tie, it sparked a 13-0 run that stretched into the fourth period and decided the game.

BJ Raymond had 21 points for Okapi, while Jamar Wilson added 14, Damon Huffman 13 and Jorn Steinbach 11.

The result leaves Okapi winless at the foot of the group.
