| 10 December 2008 Telekom Baskets Bonn handed SAOS Hyeres their first defeat in EuroChallenge Group B on Wednesday with a 71-61 victory over the French side.
The result has left both sides with 2-1 records along with Ural Great while Keravnos Nicosia are 0-3. Telekom Baskets led by nine early in the second half but the visitors fought back and moved in front at 56-55 early in the fourth quarter on a lay-up by Pierre Pierce. Ken Johnson and Brandon Bowman hit jump shots and Winsome Frazier a lay-up as Telekom Baskets went back in front at a 61-56 and they stayed on top the rest of the quarter although SAOS Hyeres closed the gap to two points on two more occasions. Frazier had 14 points to lead Bonn while Earl Jerrod Rowland and Vincent Yarbrough each had 10. Yarbrough also pulled down eight rebounds. Austin Nichols poured in a game-high 19 points in defeat for SAOS Hyeres. |
