Ural Great Perm bounced back from last week's defeat to SAOS Hyeres with an 82-54 demolition of Telekom Baskets Bonn in the EuroChallenge on Tuesday. Vanja Plisnic poured in 20 points and Fedor Likholitov 15 for the winners. The Russian team dominated the boards in the blowout, out-rebounding Bonn 38-23 with Likholitov pulling down a game-high 12. They also connected on eight of 18 shots from behind the arc while Bonn drilled just two of 13. The game was knotted at 30-30 late in the first half when Ural Great made their move. Alexey Surovtsev hit a jump shot and Plisnic followed with a three-pointer to give the home side a 35-30 lead at half-time. Likholitov opened the third quarter with a jump shot and Plisnic followed with another three-ball. Ural Great went on to deliver the knockout. Surovtsev continued the run with a three-pointer, Likholitov added another jumper and Plisnic made a lay-up to cap the 17-0 burst that Bonn never recovered from. The German outfit managed to reduce the deficit to 59-47 early in the fourth quarter but got no closer and ended up losing by 28. Brandon Bowman scored 11 points to lead Bonn, who had won their first game against Keravnos. |
