Tuborg Pilsener S.C. 88 vs. Demon Astronauts 70

After a thrilling buzzer-beating win last week against Strasbourg IG, Tuborg Pilsener captured their fourth straight win tonight in Group C of the FIBA Europe League. Playing at home this evening, the Beermen crushed Demon Astronauts Amsterdam 88-70.

Tuborg took control of an evenly played first quarter, and led 22-18 going into the second period. Alexander Jensen and Teo Cizmic had strong second quarters and helped their team to a nine-point lead at the half (41-32).

In the second half ex-Turkish national team center, Asim Pars, dominated the paint. Continuing his strong play from last week (19 points and 6 assists), the 2.12 meter big-man tallied 14 points and added seven assists.

Aerick Sanders of Tuborg, was once again unstoppable this evening as he combined his 24 points with nine rebounds. American forward Jensen posted a double-double with 18 points and 14 rebounds.

The Dutch team was led by Joe Spinks who finished with 23 points. Teddy Gipson, who averages 21.3 ppg, was held to eight points in 37 minutes of play.
