Vule Avdalovic

Career: Partizan Beograd (Serbia-Superleague, 1998-2005), Pamesa Valencia (Spain-Liga ACB, 2005-07)

Avdalovic was once the ultimate underdog on the Serbian National Team. Four years ago, nobody believed that the curly-haired point guard, who was until then a mere role player in Partizan, would make it to the top level. It was then that his mentor, National Team coach Dusan Vujosevic, picked him for the EuroBasket in Sweden. This decision was questioned by many, but the young playmaker later disproved the critics and led Partizan to two consecutive national titles. Avdalovic is a reliable playmaker and defender, a solid outside shooter and passer, team oriented and unselfish and was eventually spotted by Pamesa Valencia. For two consecutive seasons, the 25-year-old has been their leader while also playing a key role for his country.  At  EuroBasket, he will most likely be backing up Igor Rakocevic at the point guard spot.
