Bojan Bakic's national team career started with a gold medal around his neck. Back in 1999, the guard featured on the Yugoslav team that won the U16 European Championship with a perfect 8-0 record, contributing 10.4 points-per-night. Joining the senior team of Buducnost Podgorica one year later, Bakic further implemented the winning feeling with a league and cup double in his debut senior season. A good ball handler and a constant threat from long range, the 30-year-old veteran is still able to wreak havoc on offence, averaging 20.5 points-per-game in the Serbian Super League last season. Being able to help out on the "1" or "3" spot, his versatility is a further plus on his recommendation letter for the national team.
