Construction company 'Pro Athletics' have agreed a deal to become the main sponsor of the Russia Youth basketball team that will take part in this summer's Under-20 European Championships in Chekhov.
Basketball Federation of Russia president Sergei Chernov was delighted with the link-up with Pro Athletics, whose projects include designing and building sports stadiums, arenas and gyms.
"It's probably for the first time in Russian sports history that a national youth team have a general sponsor," Chernov said.
"We're glad to say hello to our new partner. I'm sure that we'll reach high results together.
"The current youth team is the strongest in recent years."
Pro Athletics chief executive Andrei Orlov added: "We're glad of our collaboration. We are helping the national youth team and it means we're working for the future. This team is the future of Russian basketball."
