Last season started pretty well for ‘Mr Big Shot' Vitaly Fridzon. New CSKA Moscow head coach Dimitris Itoudis gave Fridzon a significant role in his attacking schemes and the shooting guard proved to be an important part of CSKA's 30-game winning streak. The Moscow powerhouse looked impressive and Fridzon kept getting numbers. But it changed later in the season when Itoudis had to shake his line-up with the arrival of Andrei Kirilenko and Viktor Khryapa's return to form. Fridzon was getting less minutes and his confidence suffered a lot. CSKA won the VTB League but failed to reach its goal of the season - lift the Euroleague trophy. However, Frizon remains one of the main weapons of the national team and would like to put some of the disappointment of the past season behind him during EuroBasket.
