Sweden continue to impress at the Umcor U18 European Championship Women in Tenerife.
Having already knocked off Russia and Spain, the Swedes completed a 3-0 record in preliminary round play with a 54-47 victory over Turkey on Sunday.
Turkey were desperately unlucky in their first two outings, losing to Spain by one point and Russia by two. But they found themselves outclassed by Sweden who are proving to be the revelation of the tournament.
Sweden jumped out to an early advantage in a low scoring first quarter, reeling off 11 straight points without reply.
The game stayed tight into the second, but it was Turkey who proved slightly better at the offensive end, outscoring Sweden 16-6 to finish the half in front, 23-19.
The key period of the game for Sweden was the end of the third and start of the fourth quarters. They went on a 11-0 run to take an 8-point lead and kept their noses in front for the rest of the contest.
Frida Eldebrink shot 5/9 from three-point range to finish as Sweden's top scorer with 17 points.
