Still, a young Turkey team came within a victory in either of their last two games of reaching the Quarter-Finals in Riga. Instead, the Turks left Latvia finishing outside of the quarters for the second straight tournament.

Belarus completed their return from the dead to not only advance to the 2009 EuroBasket Women Quarter-Finals but finish in third place of their Qualification Round Group F with an 86-70 victory over Turkey. Four players scored in double figures for the 2007 bronze medalists Belarus, who hit 46 percent from three-point range and out-rebounded Turkey 42-28. |

France remained perfect at EuroBasket Women 2009 with a 55-43 victory over Turkey to move to 4-0 in the Qualification Round Group F. The French, who had already booked their spot in the Quarter-Finals before the game, held Turkey to 29 percent shooting and Sandrine Gruda led the way with 20 points and five rebounds. |
