Serbia & Montenegro Wins European Championship for Cadets

Serbia and Montenegro have proved once again that they are the top country in Europe at producing basketball talent. The evidence? Gold medals for the cadet and cadette national teams at their respective European Championships.

The European Championship for Cadets was held 18-27 July 2003 in Rivas, Spain. The home team Spanish were considered to be among the tournament favourites, but Serbia and Montenegro allowed no other team a look in as they powered to their 4th European Cadet Championship in succession.
