The new revelation of Turkish basketball. He was destined for stardom in 2001 but a 2-year drug ban put his career on hold. But this season after Ibrahim Kutluay left Ülker he displayed all his scoring skills in the Euroleague winning one “player of the month” honour along the way. He is a very powerful player for his position and uses it to his best advantage. Being a terrific shooter, defenses have to guard him close and he initiates contact knowing his superior strength will prevail. Having played point guard at the junior level his ball handling skills are also finely tuned. That’s why Tau grabbed him at the first opportunity. But after suffering a cartilage injury to his knee in the Turkish play-offs he has not yet fully recovered. Still he is expected to showcase his blossoming talents in Belgrade.
