The result divided between the two sides as Italy climbed to a 2-0 record while Turkey dropped to 1-1.

After beating Bulgaria by 19 points in the first day Italy showed once again their ability, this time with a great offensive display.

The 99 points are the tournament's high so far, even more than Turkey scored yesterday after two overtimes.

As expected Alessandro Gentile led the way for the Italian team with 31 points and just 5 missed shots from the field. Marco Ceron added 24 thanks to his outside-inside game while Matteo Chillo finished with 12 and 9 rebounds.

Ugur Dokuyan scored 15 for Turkey and Can Korkmaz added 11.

Turkey couldn't connect well from the arc and finished with just 3 hits in 16 attempts, while Italy saw a bigger rim with 12 downtown bombs in 57.1%

Ceron showed his hot hand right from the start with 9 points that gave his team a 12-8 lead after 5 minutes, enough also for a lead at the first buzzer, 21-16.

The 2nd quarter showed Ceron isn't about to rest as he added 11 more points to reach a total of 20 at the break, and when Gentile added 14 of his own Italy found the way to take a 49-36 half time lead.

Turkey didn't move any closer than 8 point behind in the 3rd quarter with good minutes by Dokuyan, but Gentile stepped up in time to secure the win.

He slashed through the Turkish defense and hit big shots from the arc, to extend the gap to over 20 and march his team to a big win and a perfect record.

Tomorrow Italy will try to remain perfect in their game against Russia while Turkey will go head to head with Bulgaria in hope to win and avoid the Classification Round.
