Turkey Secure Spot In U17 World Championship

Turkey will head to the U17 World Championships next year after blowing out hosts Italy 71-50 as they gained compensation for their heart breaking and gut wrenching quadruple overtime loss against France in the quarter finals.

Coach Firat Okul was buoyant after claiming fifth spot and apologised as he broke away from the middle of his post game interview to join in with his players as they celebrated courtside.

Turkey And Italy Play Out U17 World Championship Spot

Turkey will fight it out with Italy tomorrow for a place at next years U17 World Championships after winning their respective semi-finals for the 5 to 8 spots against Greece and Czech Republic.

In the first game of the day, Turkey stepped onto court looking to pick themselves off the floor after their gut wrenching quadruple overtime loss against France the night before.
