Özge Kavurmacıoğlu

While she has only just turned 18-years-old and not yet stepped out for the senior National Team Özge Kavurmacıoğlu is one of the brightest prospects in Turkish Women's basketball, and after ripping it up at U16 and U18 level, she could be given the opportunity to make her senior debut in Poland. She has just finished her first season as a pro-player with Fenerbahçe where she didn't see a lot of minutes in a stacked roster, but did have the advantage of practicing all year with some of the best players in Europe. That can only have enhanced her wide range of skills which is a frightening prospect since she has already shown at both U16 and U18 European Championship Women as well as the U17 World Championship Women, exactly what she is capable of. She was particularly impressive last year with the U18 team when she finished the tournament with a superb double-double of over 17 points and11 rebounds per game. While EuroBasket Women 2011 may be a tournament that arrives a little to soon, she really does have a great chance of shining for her country in the future.
