Once again, the point guard is likely to be the main back-up option for coach Johansson after fulfilling this role during qualification. Not a natural scorer, Staalvant is someone best suited to creating for others, skills which tempted EuroLeague Women side Frisco Sika Brno to swoop for her services two years ago. She is a great free-throw shooter but perhaps it is the consistency of her outside game which prevents her from being a real combo option. However, she is a nice defender on the ball and if she can muster a few valuable steals, there is a possibility she could eek out more minutes this year. Not really a numbers-oriented player, she is more concerned with the intangibles she offers as well as what goes into the stats. She's one of only a couple of natural playmakers on the roster.
