Kausaite Looks Ahead To Games That Matter

The build-up for newly-promoted Sweden to the U20 European Championship for Women in Gdynia, Poland, has been very positive.

In their last warm-up tournament in Italy over the weekend, Sweden defeated Germany, France and the Italians.

All that matters, coach Jurgita Kausaite warns, is what happens when the real event gets underway.

The opening tip for Sweden comes on Thursday against Russia.

"We must focus on one game at a time," Kausaite said.

"It is very important that we get a good start in the tournament."

Kausaute does not believe there could be better harmony in her side.

"We have a good squad with ambitious players that all have important roles, as they are aware of," the coach said.

"The girls play for each other."

On the team news front, Ajnur Bilibani has replaced Helen Findley on the roster.
