Having played briefly at the FIBA World Championship Women for the senior National Team as a teenager back in 2006 in the wake of an excellent career at youth level where she won various medals including a gold at the U20 European Championship Women during 2007, Maria Pina is back in the mix at the age of 23. Having impressed at Mann Filter Zaragoza last season, Pina showed she has plenty of quality in most things she does and noticeably stepped up her finishing around the hoop - especially in EuroCup Women. She has plenty of experience domestically having had four different clubs in Liga Femenina during the past four seasons and will be hoping to begin delivering against the considerable promise she showed during her teens.
