Spain coach Moncho Lopez admits he is hoping his side can pick themselves up after suffering their first defeat in their preparation for next month`s European Championships.
Spain, who had won their previous four preparation games, suffered a heavy 88-70 defeat to Lithuania, who themselves had lost 97-81 to Lopez`s side just five days ago.
Pau Gasol, with 19 points, was the star for Spain, who were without point guard Juan Carlos Navarro, sidelined after suffering a back spasm during Monday`s win over the Ukraine.
Meanwhile, Felipe Reyes again demonstrated he is a long way from the fitness that made him the most feared forward in Spain`s Liga ACB last season as he managed just four points in the 14 minutes he was on court.
"We were unable to play at the defensive level that we actually possess," Lopez said afterwards.
Lopez believes his side could have paid the price for their hard work against the Ukraine only 24 hours earlier.
"It could also be that we ran out of the gas needed to score points," he said.
But he added: "I am confident we can go to the Championships in good form, although this game is a reference point for us.
"What we have to do now is look at errors that we committed. I don`t think they were that serious," he said.
