Laia Palau
Career: UB FC Barcelona (Spain-1ª División, 1995-97), UB FC Barcelona (Spain-LF, 1997-2004), CJM Bourges (France-LFB, 2004-06), Ros Casares (Spain-LF, 2006-11)

Having survived the summer revolution at Ros Casares and subsequently helped the Valencia club to another EuroLeague Women Final Four perhaps underlines just how important a player Laia Palau can be, not only for her club but also for her country. Another veteran star with a list of honours too long to mention, Palau is a player who has evolved over the years and can not only hit her trademark left-handed jump shots or slash to the hoop but is much happier than ever handling the ball if required too and stepping into the shoes of the playmaker. She loves the challenge of going up against her opponent and that is hardly surprising with her one-on-one skills. She will remain a key figure for Coach Hernandez and will no doubt leave Poland having turned in another impressive line of numbers throughout the tournament.
