Spain Earn First Win

Spain found their debut win in the Termosteps U16 European Championship Men by trashing Hungary 99-48.

The winners climbed to a 1-1 record as Hungary suffered their second big defeat in a row and dropped to 0-2.

Joan Tomas led Spain with 23 points, while Jordi Mas added 16.

Hungary got ten points from Norbert Timko.

15 seconds inside the game Hungary tied the score at 2-2 but that was the last time to teams were close.

Follwing a 9-0 run Spain finished the first quarter with an 18-13 lead, but the next time Hungary scored again was after seven minutes.

By then Spain have already scored 20 points in a row to take a 45-20 lead at the half.

The Spanish side continued its run, increasing the gap by the minute on the way to a 51 point win.

Spain will face Ukraine tomorrow while Hungary will hope for a miracle against Lithuania.
