Aguilar had a successful youth career for the Spanish national team, picking up bronze at the 2006 U18 European Championship and the 2008 and 2009 U20 European Championships. But the Granada native is yet to reach the senior squad for Espana. The low post player went through the Real Madrid lower sides before eventually moving to CB Granada for more playing time in the ACB. Aguilar spent three seasons with Zaragoza, helping the team to the ACB semi-finals. Next season he will play with Valencia. Aguilar still has plenty of talent with the ability to shoot from the outside as well as a fine passing touch and good rebounding skills. He also has quick hands defensively and can get up to block shots. He will likely serve as a back-up at both low post spots.
