Marta Fernandez

Older sister of European star Rudy, Fernandez played in the WNBA for the first time last summer with the LA Sparks. She could have made the move earlier but preferred to rest and play for the National Team where she has yet to become a force as she has been in the Spanish league where she was last year’s regular-season MVP. A gold medallist and MVP at the 1999 European Junior Championship, Fernández is looking for her chance to prove that she can show off all her skills at the international level.
