The Romania women's team will play qualification matches against Germany and Belgium next month as part of their build-up to the European Championships.
Romania will break new ground by hosting matches against Germany on September 8 and Belgium on September 22 in Targoviste for the first time.
Targoviste is now recognised as a powerful basketball centre because of the performances of Livas Petrom Targoviste in winning the national championship for the past three seasons.
National coach Ioan Valerian and other members of the national squad have also played for Targoviste.
Match organiser Gabriel Boriga, chairman of the MCM Targoviste basketball club, said a budget of more than £15,000 had been set aside to make the two matches a success.
