With the game all square at 57-57 early in the final frame, Belgium scored 13 unanswered points to take command.
Noemie Mayombo poured in seven points in that run while Jana Raman contributed six.
Malgorzata Misyuk stopped the rot with a jumper to cut the deficit to 70-59 with six minutes remaining but fouled out shortly after.
Belgium outscored their opponents 17-10 the rest of the way.
Raman led her team with 22 points on six of 14 (42.8%) shooting from the floor and 10 of 12 (83%) at the free-throw line.
In a dominating display, she also corralled 11 rebounds, dished out four assists and came up with five steals.
Belgium out-rebounded Poland 44-34.
Both teams struggled shooting the ball from long range.
Belgium were six of 23 (26%) while Poland made just three of 12 (25%) - all of them drilled by Monika Banasik.
Misiuk led the Poles with 22 points.
