France Edge Serbia In Overtime

France claimed an exciting 93-87 overtime victory over Serbia in a EuroBasket 2007 warm-up game on Friday.

The two sides were evenly match in the first quarter as France edged into a 24-22 lead, but by half-time they had pulled further clear to lead by 11 at the midway point, 49-38.

The Serbs fought back to tie the game at 56-56 in the next quarter, however, and the sides stayed close until the end, finishing locked at 77-77 by the final buzzer.

Yakhouba Diawara led five player in double figures for the victors with 18 points, while Ronny Turiaf also shone by sinking 16 points and pulling down six rebounds.

Milan Gurovic enjoyed a game-high 23 points for Serbia, although he blotted his copybook by failing to find the target with 10 three-point efforts.
