Over the last couple of years, Lukasz Koszarek has started to really blossom in a National Team vest. After a disappointing EuroBasket 2007, he was much more effective on home soil two years ago. Last summer his progress continued as he not only averaged double digits during the Qualifying Round, he also confirmed his status as the top playmaker with a creditable 4.5 assists per game. Perhaps playing in the Italian league has helped develop his game to another level and certainly his court vision and quickness are more evident than ever. He also has a nice shooting touch and can make shots consistently from downtown as he showed last summer making him a real threat and the main architect for Poland in the backcourt.
