Kaczmarczyk Comes Up Big, Poland Claim Fifth

Poland beat Turkey 77-71 to finish fifth in the U20 European Championship Women 2009 in front of their home crowd in Gdynia.

Turkey were ahead by three at the half, but Poland came out and outscored the Turks 24-8 in the third quarter and swung the game in their favour for good.

Poland Pull Away From Germany

Poland pulled away from Germany in the second half to get the 86-66 win and will play Turkey for the fifth place in the U20 European Championship Women 2009.

The Poles put on an offensive exhibition for the home crowd, shooting 64% as a team.
