Waczynski had already established himself as a player to watch in the Polish Tauron Basket Liga before 2014 but it was last season that catapulted the Torun-native to another level. First, he became one of the leaders of the national team in the Second Qualification Round, even if sometimes he was asked to play out of position at point guard. He followed this up with a promising season in the Liga Endesa for Obradoiro, improving week-by-week, gaining two selections to the league's team of the week and even one "Player of the Week" title after scoring 24 in a win against Unicaja Malaga. He was the leading scorer of his team in Spain even though he played only 20.6 minutes per game. The 26-year-old wing player is not a runner or high-jumper, but he is smart and versatile, hungry and now ready to contribute more than during his first two EuroBasket adventures (2011 and 2013).
