Lukasz Koszarek developed into a true leader at the top level for both the national team and leading Polish clubs. He is a master of the pick-and-roll, with both weapons - shooting and passing to the rolling big-man - in his locker. The last 12 months were especially successful for Koszarek. He led the Polish national team to 1st place in their Qualification Round group with impressive performances in crucial games against Belgium and Finland. He then made his debut in the Euroleague, leaving a good impression with 11.1 points-per-game and 4.0 assists-per-game for Gdynia. After transferring to Stelmet Zielona Gora in March, he celebrated his first Polish Championship. Now, at 29 and at his fourth straight EuroBasket, "Koszar" is ready to be the leader again. As the Polish team is "bigs-heavy" it is obvious that a floor general is much needed and Koszarek always delivered more than four assists-per-game at the three previous EuroBaskets.
