Big man Jusuf Nurkic led hosts Bosnia and Herzegovina to their second victory in as many games with a double-double in points and rebounds

Bosnia and Herzegovina rolled to their second straight victory on Day Two of the U18 European Championship Division B.

The tournament hosts won their Group D game against Portugal, 78-48, in Sarajevo after storming out to a 24-11 lead by the end of the first quarter.

Jusuf Nurkic had 20 points and 15 rebounds for the winners.

The 2.12m center is now averaging 17 points and 14 rebounds in the competition.

Bosnia and Herzegovina dominated the boards, out-rebounding Portugal, 53-27.

The other Group D game saw the Netherlands prevail, 92-50, over Georgia.

Mike Schilder poured in 21 points for the Dutch, who stretched a 19-16 lead at the end of the first quarter to 44-23 at half-time and never looked back.

In Group B, the Czech Republic and Austria won their respective games.

The Czechs overcame neighbours Slovakia, 78-45, after an 18-point, 17-rebound performance from Karel Ausprunk.

Jakob Pöltl was a beast for Austria, scoring 16 points and corralling 20 rebounds as they defeated Luxembourg, 75-64.

With 2:52 remaining, Luxembourg pulled to within three points but Valentin Bauer and Timur Bas hit jumpers for the Austrians and they held on for their first victory after falling to Estonia on Thursday.

Bob Melcher poured in 22 points in defeat.

The Group C action saw Finland beat Norway, 74-49, Sweden defeat Switzerland, 89-44, and Iceland overcome Montenegro, 80-68.

Julius Rajala had 13 points and 10 boards for the Finns in their triumph, and Sweden rode the back of Nicholas Spires and his 18 points and 12 rebounds to victory over the Swiss.

Martin Hermannsson poured in 19 points for Iceland.

There were three games in Group A.

Maxim Kikus scored 16 points for Israel, who were convincing 93-43 winners over Scotland.

Zoltán Perl had 18 points and eight assists for Hungary as they downed Romania, 86-57.

England meanwhile improved to 2-0 with a 76-63 triumph over Belarus.

Elliott Sentance led the way with 17 points for England, who also got 15 from Rowell Graham.

The contest was tight before England outscored Belarus 20-10 in the fourth quarter.
