It was a glorious night in Tallinn for Croatia and Netherlands who both achieved promotion to Division A after picking up wins against Denmark and Slovak Republic to make it to the Final of the tournament.
Croatia destroyed Denmark 80-58 with a devastating first half performance. Already 19-10 ahead after the opening period, they blew their opponents away completely before half time when they outscored the Danes by 30-13.
Croatia had all of the inside presence and Denmark couldn't match up as center pairing Marija Rados and Andrijana Cvitokovic went to town. Rados pulled down 10 rebounds while Cvitkovic claimed 16 points and 8 rebounds.
With shooting guard Glorija Sikiric also choosing a good night to have her best performance of the tournament, her haul of 18 points was the highest in the game.
The second semi-final was a much tighter affair as Netherlands finished the game strongly against Slovak Republic to secure a 79-72 success. There had been little in the game throughout other than a quick-fire start by the Slovak team who raced into a 15-6 lead.
However once Netherlands clawed their way back, neither team could make a decisive run until the closing stages.
Netherlands produced a game breaking 9-2 run with six minutes remaining to open up a ten point lead an effectively seal the game.
The result was tough for Slovak Republic star Noema Bradnanska who claimed 20 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists.
Willemijin Kallenberg claimed 18 points for Netherlands while Maxine Essenstam chalked up 17 points and 7 rebounds.
While the primary objective of attaining Division A status has already been achieved, both teams will still be eagerly competing for the gold medal tomorrow.
