The Principality of Monaco stormed into the Semi-Finals of the U16 European Championship Men Division C with an 82-32 victory over San Marino.

Despite the heavy defeat, San Marino also progressed to the last four because they had beaten Wales and Malta in their other Group A games.

Alessandro Generale is having a big tournament for Monaco.

He had 19 points and 19 rebounds in their victory on Thursday.

Malta prevailed in a 59-57 nail-biter over Wales.

Zane Micallef had 21 points, five rebounds and five assists for Malta.

In a battle for first place in Group B between Scotland and hosts Gibraltar, the Scots romped to a 70-41 win.

Gregor Gray had 17 points, Malcolm Winning scored 16 and Fraser Malcolm had 13 along with 10 rebounds.
