EuroChallenge side Krasnye Krylia have signed Jeremiah Massey to a six-week contract.
The American-born former F.Y.R. of Macedonia international will replace temporarily his compatriot Andre Smith who is sidelined with an injury.
Massey was a free agent after he parted ways with another Russian club, Lokomotiv Kuban, in late August.
He played for F.Y.R. of Macedonia at EuroBasket 2009 and was the leading scorer and rebounder in the Lokomotiv side that reached the EuroChallenge Final Four in 2011, under coach Kestutis Kemzura.
The 30-year-old power forward has vast experience in Europe, having played in Greece with Aris Thessaloniki and in Spain with Real Madrid and Obradoiro before moving to Russia.
Massey featured in 14 games in the Eurocup last season, averaging 15.9 points and 8.4 rebounds per contest for Lokomotiv.
Andre Smith penned a deal with Krasnye Krylia in the summer following an extraordinary 2011/12 season with Juve Caserta in Italy, where he was the top scorer in Serie A with 18.6 points per game.
He featured in only two games in a Krasnye Krylia shirt before his injury, scoring 18 points in his Russian PBL debut and 13 in the VTB league opener against Azovmash.
