CSK-VVS Samara won a vital game at home against Base Oostende on Tuesday to stay in the hunt for a place in the Top 16 of the EuroChallenge.
The Russian team prevailed 86-72 in the Group G game to improve to 2-3 while dropping Oostende to 1-4.
Marque Perry had an off-day shooting the ball for Samara, making an uncharacteristic one of nine shots from long range, but teammates Mladjen Sljivancanin and Gennady Zelenskiy more than made up for his profligacy.
Gennady Zelenskiy was four of five from behind the arc while Sljivancanin drilled six of nine.
Samara finished 14 of 28 overall from three-point range with Oostende just seven of 23.
Oostende scored five straight points to knot the game at 27-27 early in the second quarter, but CSK-VVS replied with five straight points of their own - all supplied by Perry - to go in front for good.
He had a three-point play and then hit a jumper.
Robert Hite responded with a basket to close the gap to 32-29, only for Sergey Demeshkin to follow with back-to-back dunks for Samara and they gradually pulled away for a comfortable triumph.
Sljivancanin led the way with 20 points and Perry, despite his struggles from long range, ended up with 19.
Perry also had nine assists and seven rebounds.
Veselin Petrovic poured in 19 points in defeat.
